Domain Name Registration

Your domain name (URL)
is your identifying name on the Internet. People find your web site by
either typing in your domain name or clicking on a link to your domain name
from another site or a search engine. You must purchase the right to
use the name from a domain name registration service. Our service
involves setting up an account with a registration service and purchase the
rights to the name for you. You can also do this on your own if you
like. The typical third party cost is $35 per year
and is paid directly to the registrar. |

We will set up and design your site using
one of our standard designs. Click on the link to the left to see 35
sample designs. Some changes to the design are simple and will be
included in the basic design fees. We can alter the design a by
changing background colors, typeface, type color, etc. We will include
your logo and one or two simple graphics provided by you. We can also
apply different themes to different pages, but that is generally not
desirable. |

We will add additional pages with content
you provide us. Additional pages will be formatted in the same design
as the rest of your web site, or any additional design chosen from our
standard designs.
Additional pages are usually necessary when the site has a lot of graphics
(i.e. photos, design images, logos, etc.). If a page has too many
images, it will take too long to load, and viewers may lose patience and
leave before the page is fully loaded. |
Custom Site Design

If you purchase a package, additional
charges will be incurred for custom site design work, if you need us to
modify graphics, if you ask us to provide copy
writing service, or custom page designs. After your site is up and
running, if we provide graphics or
copy writing for you, or if you want us to redesign or modify part or all of
your site, your will incur fees at the custom design rate. |
Advanced Site Design

Advanced work consists of anything that is
highly technical in nature, such as custom Java scripting, custom database
set-up, advanced animation, or intensely interactive sites. We can provide
most services, but in the event these additional services are necessary, we
contract with one of our highly-skilled designers to provide those services.
Regardless of who does the coding for your site, we remain ultimately
responsible and make sure that the work is done properly and timely. |
Custom Graphic Design

We contract with talented graphic artists
who can create logos, and provide you with
custom graphics for your site. Our artists can layout the designs for
your printer, in the event you want to have a consistent look between your
site and your print advertising. |
Set Up Service with Host Company

Once you have your domain name, you must
direct that name to a server. The hosting company's job is to provide
space on their servers, a secure and fast connection, and the appropriate
support software and personnel, to "host" your site. Our job involves retaining a hosting company
to direct your domain name on their servers, setting up your e-mail accounts
on their servers and uploading your site to the server. We will also
teach you how to administer your e-mail or we will be happy to do it for
you. |
Set Up Merchant Account

It is usually best that you set up a
merchant account with your local bank then provide us with the merchant
account numbers for integration into your site. We can also work with
your existing merchant account numbers if you have them already for your
business. If we do it for you, we can set up an account with your local bank
or with a company that specializes in Internet merchant accounts. It
involves setting up a merchant account for MasterCard/Visa, obtaining a
separate number for American Express/Optima/Diners Club and for Discover
Card.
The fees for merchant accounts are paid
directly to the provider, and usually consist of a set-up fee of $50-$100,
and a monthly fee consisting of a monthly minimum fee (typically $25)
and a percentage of the sales (usually 2.5+%). |

Internet Gateway

Each merchant number and your general
information has to be linked to your Internet Gateway. An Internet
Gateway is your connection between your web site an your bank and usually
serves to process the transactions. Most Internet Gateways also
provide you with the ability to go to their site and process credit card
information by hand on their site. The Internet Gateway will be linked
to the checkout button on you site.
Internet Gateway fees (paid directly to the Gateway
Service) are usually $10-$20/mo. |
Set Up Shopping Cart

We will find the appropriate shopping cart
software or online shopping cart service to suite your site's needs and
your budget. We will arrange to purchase or lease the software or sign up
for the service. We will integrate it into your site and either
provide you with instructions as to how to add the products and administer
it yourself or we will enter the products and administer it for you.
Additionally, in the case of most databases,we can coordinate your shopping
cart we have people we contract with for complex database services.
Shopping cart software usually costs
$100 - $200 for basic sites to several thousand for large sites with
hundreds or thousands of products. These fees are paid directly to the
software company or the provider. |
Basic Search Engine Submission

We will submit your site to
Yahoo! Lycos,
Northern Light,
Google,
Alta Vista,
Excite and MSN. While doing this
we will sign you up for other search engines, but unless you opt for the
hourly submission service we reserve the right to decide how many and
which other sites to submit to. If we submit your site to any pay sites (including Yahoo! in the
event your site is a commercial site) you must first agree to pay for their
charge before we will submit your site. We try diligently to make sure
that you will never be surprised with a fee.
Typical third-party fees range anywhere from
$39/year to $200 per year for basic site submission. These fees are
paid directly to the search engine. |
Site Promotion Services

We will prepare a web marketing proposal
which recommends various sites, search engines and marketing services
designed to bring targeted traffic to your site. The proposal details
the service and provides our reasoning so that you can make the decision as
to which service to use. After you review the
proposal, and decide which services you would like to pursue, we will either
implement those items or give you detailed instructions so that you can do it
yourself. If you like, we can monitor the progress of each program and
provide you with monthly or weekly reports.
Search engine promotion fees can be a few hundred
dollars a month or several thousand a month. If properly targeted, you
will be able to track the resulting business to your site. |
Site Maintenance

Site maintenance can consist a variety of
services. Which services will be needed for your site will depend on your site and which services
you request of us. The following is a list of examples of site
maintenance services:
 | E-Mail Administration |
 | Adding, deleting and modifying graphics, descriptions or prices
for products in your shop. |
 | Checking on web site links, keeping the basics up to date, and
informing you of any site modifications which need to be made. |
 | Update broken links. Frequently, pages which your site links to
will change or move. When this happens the link on your site will bring
up an error message, which looks unprofessional. We monitor and
update broken links to prevent this. |
